I bet your tree is like mine, when the kids where young they not only helped decorate the tree but they supplied most of the decorations. Crafts from school, hand made ornaments. colorful and adorable, often with pictures of themselves. I loved them both the kids and the keep sakes. Our trees was loaded with charm and any food product that can be food colored. I loved those days! Now my children are not Children any more. My husband put up the tree and I decorated it. It is Beautiful! I used all red and gold. The bulbs are (genuine glass) the ornaments are well balanced. gone are the days where each child does only what they can reach and then the next child take over for as far as they can reach. Each one using their own unique style. So I looked at this years tasteful, elegant tree. I looked and touched each of the old keep sakes and put them away safely. I thought of the trade off. I don't need to be up until midnight putting a bike together, or get woke up at 6 by the little consumers. I must keep telling myself. I earned this! My reward for a job well done.! Is quite days and silent nights. WHAT KIND OF A DEAL IS THAT!
I am so excited about having a color coordinated tree.
ReplyDeleteThe best/worst tree was when we were at your house a few years ago. The kids made your tree awesome. (-:

Mine once again looks like an elf threw up all over it.
